Evolution Opens Eighth Live Casino Studio in Buenos Aires as LatAm Demand Surges

Evolution has officially opened its first South American live dealer studio in Buenos Aires, citing rapid growth across regulated Latin American markets. The 4,500-square-meter facility will employ over 800 dealers and support Spanish and Portuguese-language tables for operators in Argentina, Colombia, Peru, and Brazil.

Evolution inaugurated its first South American live casino production hub in Buenos Aires on Friday, marking a significant strategic investment in a region the supplier has identified as its fastest-growing addressable market outside Europe. The 4,500-square-meter studio, located in the Puerto Madero business district, will initially host 42 tables and is projected to scale to more than 80 by the end of 2027. Argentine Province of Buenos Aires gaming regulator LOTBA confirmed certification of the facility earlier this month after a six-month technical review.

The studio will employ approximately 820 dealers, presenters, and technical staff, with native Spanish and Portuguese-language content aimed at the broader Latin American market. Evolution Chief Executive Martin Carlesund told reporters that the Buenos Aires hub addresses both regulatory localization requirements and latency issues that had previously forced regional operators to route traffic through the company's Malta and Atlanta studios. "Players in São Paulo, Bogotá and Lima deserve the same sub-second experience as players in Stockholm," Carlesund said during the opening ceremony.

The move comes as Latin American regulated iGaming markets continue to mature, with Brazil's licensed regime entering its second year and Peru completing its operator licensing rollout in March. Analysts at Regulus Partners estimate that live casino accounts for roughly 18% of online casino GGR across regulated LatAm markets, well below the European average of 32%, suggesting substantial runway for growth. Evolution has secured launch deals with regional operators including Betsson's Colbet brand, Stake.com.br, and Argentine market leader Bplay.

Competitors are likely to follow. Playtech confirmed last month that it is scouting locations in Colombia for a smaller dealer studio, while Pragmatic Play recently expanded its Bucharest operations with a dedicated LatAm-facing floor. With Brazil alone projected to generate over R$8 billion in licensed iGaming revenue in 2026, the race to localize live dealer infrastructure in the region appears to be accelerating in earnest.
