Evolution Opens Czech Live Dealer Studio in Prague to Serve Central European Markets
Evolution has inaugurated its newest live casino studio in Prague, marking the supplier's eleventh European production facility. The 4,200-square-meter site will host more than 50 tables and create over 700 jobs as the company targets growth across regulated Central and Eastern European jurisdictions.
Evolution officially opened its Prague live dealer studio on Tuesday, expanding the supplier's European footprint into the Czech Republic for the first time. The facility, located in the Karlín business district, has been licensed by the Czech Ministry of Finance following an 18-month build-out and will stream localized content to operators across the region, including dedicated Czech, Polish, Hungarian, and Slovak-language tables. Evolution CEO Martin Carlesund described the launch as 'a strategic anchor point' for the company's CEE expansion, citing the country's regulatory stability and access to multilingual talent.
The studio will initially run 32 tables across blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and game show formats, scaling to more than 50 by the fourth quarter. Evolution confirmed it has secured initial distribution agreements with Sazka, Fortuna Entertainment Group, and Tipsport, the three dominant operators in the Czech market, with additional rollouts planned for Polish licensees STS and Totalbet later this summer. The supplier said the Prague hub will also serve as a backup production site for its flagship Riga and Bucharest operations, providing redundancy for tier-one operators across the continent.
The investment comes as Central European live casino revenue continues to climb, with Czech regulator MF reporting a 22% year-on-year increase in online table game GGR for the first quarter of 2026. Industry analysts at Regulus Partners noted that Evolution's Prague move directly responds to growing competition from Pragmatic Play Live and Playtech, both of which have ramped up CEE-focused content libraries in recent months. The studio is expected to add roughly €40 million in annualized revenue once fully operational.
Local officials welcomed the announcement, with Prague Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda highlighting the 700-plus permanent positions Evolution will create, the majority of them dealer roles offering language premiums. The supplier said recruitment is already underway, with first dealer training cohorts scheduled to begin later this month. Evolution's next planned studio openings include Cape Town and a second Philippines facility, both targeted for early 2027.
