DraftKings Partners With Stripe to Launch Instant Payout Platform Across Eight US States

Published 25 June 2026

DraftKings has unveiled a new instant withdrawal system powered by Stripe's financial infrastructure, promising payout times under 60 seconds for verified players. The rollout begins in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan before expanding to five additional states by Q4 2026.

DraftKings announced today a strategic payments partnership with Stripe to deploy an instant withdrawal platform across its US sportsbook and iGaming operations. The new system, dubbed DK FastCash, leverages Stripe's real-time payment rails to deliver player withdrawals in under 60 seconds, a significant improvement over the industry-standard 24 to 72-hour processing window. Initial rollout covers New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, with West Virginia, Connecticut, Virginia, Tennessee, and Massachusetts slated for integration by the end of Q4 2026.

The partnership addresses what DraftKings CFO Alan Ellingson described as 'the single largest friction point in the player experience.' Internal research conducted by the operator found that 68% of players cited slow withdrawal times as their primary complaint, with churn rates noticeably higher among customers who experienced payout delays exceeding 24 hours. Under the new system, players will be charged a 1.5% fee for instant withdrawals up to $5,000, while standard ACH transfers remain free.

Stripe's involvement marks one of the fintech giant's most significant pushes into regulated gambling infrastructure. The company has historically maintained cautious distance from the sector, but recent compliance enhancements and the maturation of state-level licensing frameworks have opened the door to deeper engagement. Stripe will handle KYC verification cross-checks, anti-money laundering screening, and transaction monitoring as part of the integrated stack, working alongside DraftKings' existing compliance vendors.

Industry analysts at Eilers & Krejcik Gaming suggest the move could pressure competitors including FanDuel, BetMGM, and Fanatics Sportsbook to accelerate their own instant payout roadmaps. 'Payment speed is becoming a genuine competitive differentiator in mature US markets where customer acquisition costs have plateaued,' analyst Chris Krafcik noted. DraftKings expects the platform to contribute to a 4-6% improvement in player retention metrics by the end of fiscal 2026, with full national coverage targeted for mid-2027 pending continued regulatory approvals.
