Evolution Opens Ninth Live Casino Studio in Buenos Aires to Serve Latin American Market
Swedish live dealer specialist Evolution has inaugurated a 4,500-square-meter studio in Buenos Aires, marking its largest facility in Latin America. The site will initially host 45 tables and create over 800 jobs, with content localized in Spanish and Portuguese.
Evolution officially opened the doors to its new Buenos Aires studio on Tuesday, expanding the supplier's regional footprint as Latin American markets continue to formalize. The facility, located in the Puerto Madero district, represents an estimated $28 million investment and will initially operate 45 live dealer tables covering roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and Evolution's proprietary game show titles. Company executives confirmed the studio will scale to 90 tables by mid-2027 as demand grows from newly regulated jurisdictions including Peru, Brazil, and several Argentine provinces.
The Buenos Aires launch positions Evolution to capitalize on Brazil's regulated online casino market, which opened earlier this year, as well as Colombia's mature vertical and Chile's pending framework. CEO Martin Carlesund said the studio would deliver "authentic regional experiences" with native Spanish and Portuguese-speaking dealers, culturally tailored game show formats, and streaming infrastructure optimized for lower-bandwidth mobile connections common across the region. The company has partnered with local telecom providers to guarantee sub-100ms latency to major Latin American cities.
Argentina's provincial gaming regulators, including Buenos Aires City's LOTBA, welcomed the investment as validation of the country's licensing framework despite ongoing debates over federal harmonization. The studio is expected to employ approximately 850 people at full capacity, with Evolution partnering with local hospitality schools to train dealers. Analyst firm Regulus Partners noted that the move gives Evolution a significant infrastructure edge over rivals Pragmatic Play Live and Playtech, both of which currently serve Latin America primarily from European studios.
The expansion comes as Evolution reported that Latin America now accounts for roughly 11% of group revenue, up from 6% a year earlier. With Brazil's regulated market projected to reach $2.1 billion in gross gaming revenue by 2028 according to H2 Gambling Capital, the Buenos Aires studio positions the supplier to defend and grow its dominant share of the live casino segment across the continent.
