BetMGM Extends Marriott Bonvoy Partnership with Loyalty Integration Across US Online Casino Platform

Published 17 October 2026

BetMGM has deepened its tie-up with Marriott Bonvoy, enabling US online casino players in New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia to earn hotel loyalty points directly through slot and table game wagering. The move marks one of the most ambitious cross-sector loyalty integrations in regulated US iGaming to date.

BetMGM announced on Friday the expansion of its long-standing relationship with Marriott Bonvoy, launching a direct loyalty integration that allows online casino players to accrue Bonvoy points through real-money wagering on the operator's digital platform. The rollout covers New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, with Ontario expected to follow in Q1 2027 pending regulatory sign-off from AGCO. Players linking their MGM Rewards and Bonvoy accounts will earn points at a tiered rate based on wager volume rather than net loss, a structure BetMGM says is designed to align with responsible play principles.

The integration arrives as US operators increasingly look beyond deposit bonuses to differentiate themselves in saturated markets. BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt described the expansion as 'a logical evolution of the MGM-Marriott ecosystem,' noting that cross-brand redemption data from land-based properties showed Bonvoy-linked customers had materially higher retention rates. The company reported that pilot testing in New Jersey over the summer produced a 22% uplift in 90-day active player retention among enrolled users compared to the control group.

Industry analysts see the move as a meaningful competitive signal to DraftKings and FanDuel, neither of which currently offers a comparable hospitality-sector loyalty bridge. Eilers & Krejcik gaming analyst Chris Krafcik noted that 'non-cash loyalty currency is becoming the next battleground in US iGaming, particularly as states tighten rules around bonus advertising and VIP programs.' Several states, including Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, have signalled upcoming reviews of promotional practices in 2027.

BetMGM confirmed that the integration includes built-in responsible gambling safeguards, with point accrual automatically paused for players who activate deposit limits, cool-off periods, or self-exclusion. The operator also stated that Bonvoy points will not be awarded on wagers funded by promotional credits, addressing concerns raised by regulators in prior consultations about loyalty mechanics incentivising bonus-driven play. A broader rollout to additional MGM Resorts partner brands is expected throughout 2027.
